Last Thursday, August 3, Nala, together with Latam Work (LW), held an in-person workshop in Chile called "Talent Management in a New Work Context: Trends and Challenges in Talent Management TODAY."
The workshop featured two speakers, the CEO and cofounder of Nala, Ximena Paul, as the main speaker, and the Head of People Management at LW, Akemi Yamada. Professionals linked to Human Resources, Human Capital, Organizational Development, Talent, Organizational Culture, Employee Experience, and People Analytics from more than 15 companies and 8 industries operating in the country participated.
The day was divided into five blocks, which also included activities where participants could share their experiences and the challenges they have had to face in talent management, as well as discuss the trends they see in the future of work and how to be prepared.
At the beginning, the new rules of the game in the labor world were addressed, and then, the second block focused on talent management and productivity versus engagement.
In the third and fourth blocks, the workshop focused on the need for a new mindset for the new era and the application of a methodology and organizational leadership, respectively. Finally, the closing topic was the shift from career plans to development paths.
Facing the changes occurring in the world of work, Nala's CEO stated: “The companies that will survive what is happening are neither the smartest nor the strongest, but those that know how to adapt best.”
“At Nala, we want to accompany them in that process, to simplify and speed up people management and to focus on what really matters, which is talent retention,” she added.
In this way, the attendees—who came from companies in education, transportation, technology, human resources, and more—were able to learn about trends and understand, from the perspective of talent and technology, how talent management is changing, learn and apply good practices from real companies, see how talent can be managed agilely today, and learn how Nala has been able to face this challenge.
After the workshop, the general manager at LW Empresas, Aynara Canale, commented: “We were very eager to hold the workshop because we believe that managing talent in today's times is fundamental within companies, especially considering that post-pandemic everything in the labor world changed.”
For her part, Ximena celebrated the participation and enthusiasm of those who attended: “It was a great day to share and get to know the different organizations and the challenges they face in human capital management.”
Some of the participants, from companies that already use Nala and others that do not, also shared what they thought of the workshop. Check them out here! 👇🏻
